OUR BOARD MEMBERS

Allen Washington is a principal and Chief Legal Officer of OTM, LLC (OTM) and its affiliates, and is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He is the managing member of Epic MBE Supply Partners, LLC that provides supply chain support for construction companies and developers.

 

Mr. Washington has worked in both the public and private sectors. He received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Yale University and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers-Camden. As a former Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, he obtained a favorable appellate published opinion, and later represented title insurance companies, liability insurance companies and developers in multifaceted litigation.

He served as an initial advisor/counsel to the Executive Board of the New Jersey Legislative Black Caucus Foundation when it was founded in 2004. A member of the Phelps Association at Yale, he recently served as the President of the Yale Club of Central New Jersey.

Ruth Carter is a retired educator with 40 years of experience and a former credit union president of nearly 20 years. As Secretary/Treasurer of the Community Development Corporation of Northern New Jersey (CDClNNJ), she brings expertise in financial management, yearly financial reports, business operations, and official document management.

Ruth earned a BA from Bennett College and an MA from Montclair State University. She actively participates in her community through various roles at Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown, NJ; and serves as corresponding secretary for the Northern NJ Chapter of Chums and Sergeant-at-Arms for the national board of Chums Incorporated. Ruth's dedication to the community has been recognized by the National Federal Credit Union Administration.

Known as "Nana" to her five grandchildren, she is passionate about educational programs and projects that enhance children's lives.

Norman Burroughs is a Vice President in Business Banking. He brings with him 20 years of commercial and business banking experience. He has an extensive and diverse background in commercial and business.

Norman is a member of American Institute of Banking. He is also a board member for Calvary Baptist Church Community Development Corporation and New Jersey Community Capital. Additionally, he  is a member of the Hope Chest golf Foundation Committee. Norman also serves as a member of the diaconate at Calvary Baptist Church. He also serves on Alpha Phi Alpha SZL scholarship Foundation committee.
